Jacob Borshard loves bikes. He loves Pee-Wee Herman. So much so, he’s actually building a Pee-Wee Bicycle from scratch in his shed. He’s slowly accumulating all the vintage parts, and sculpting things like the special front on the tiger-speaker on the handlebars from the original movie. Jacob’s freaking nuts. How nuts is he?
Not only is he building a Pee-Wee bike, he’s also converting his Miata into a replica of the 1966 TV Batmobile. Now, while that’s pretty awesome to begin with, the Miata already looks like this-
This thing is parked in front of my house like, two days a week, while Jacob’s printing in the shop. Let’s just say I live in an…interesting neighborhood, and this thing is way crazier than the usual sparkle-paint low-riders. But I guess this isn’t enough, as Jacob’s started doing this-
What is this, you ask? This is Jacob building the superstructure for the cowling on the hood for his Miata-Batmobile conversion. I’ve seen this in person. I’ve touched it. I am a man transformed. As if this wasn’t serious enough, take a look at these SUPER-DETAILED blueprints Jacob produced to make sure this comes off without a hitch-
Like I said, crazypants. That’s the contour of the Miata’s hood under the distinctive Batmobile hood. This stuff goes on for pages and pages. If you REALLY want to look at the process (I’m talking like, EPIC process images) of how he’s doing this, go to the REPLICA PROP FORUMS and read on.
But back to the poster and T-shirt we’re talking about here-
Chucks Bike-O-Rama!
Jacob’s print above is limited to just 50 signed and numbered copies, and the 20 copies we brought to Flatstock Austin last month BLEW OUT of there, so we only have 30 now for sale. The T-shirt is a pre-sale item, and will be limited to 100 copies worldwide, and will ship within 2 weeks of the orders placed.
I can PRETTY MUCH guarantee every penny Jacob receives from this sale will go to helping him craft his completely insane Batmobile project. Think of this as a Kickstarter, but better than some stupid books for schoolchildren in Michigan program.
Both the t-shirt and poster are available NOW in the Jacob Borshard section of the Nakatomi store HERE.
