If you’ve ever had those post-Halloween blues on November 1st or find yourself wishing to keep the holiday in your heart year-round, then perhaps you’re already looking at the year in a unique way.
Nakatomi is proud to present Dan Brereton’s Nocturnals: October Epoch, a unique calendar, beginning in the month of October 2022, ending 10/31/2023 ( with a bonus two months added to complete 2023)!
Comics creator Dan Brereton introduced The Nocturnals in 1994 with the unique vision for a saga combining a love of Gothic Horror, Crime Fiction and Sci-Fi with an equal love for Halloween. An adventure series ensued, tinged with an autumnal feel with roots deep in classic pulp yarns, and the added joy of trick-or-treating.
Our Kickstarter project seeks to fund a unique, high-quality calendar, an artisan edition portfolio of high-end prints-and much more- for the adventurous Halloween spirit in you!

CALENDAR- $25 pledge.
This unique 13-month calendar frames the year as it should, beginning and ending with the most important month of the year- OCTOBER! Featuring significant holidays, and MORE IMPORTANTLY, all the horror-themed dates we could think of: author birthdays, classic horror movie release dates, and many more monstrous events!
Calendar measures 12″x 24″ when hung, printed on satin finish paper stock!
PORTFOLIO- $150 Pledge
Pledge at this level, and receive this collection of 15 full-color paintings by Dan, faithfully reproduced at 11”x14“ as high-quality Giclées. Printed on 305gsm natural watercolor paper with archival Ultrachrome ink. Includes a signature plate, signed by the artist and hand-numbered in a limited edition. Packaged in a custom collector’s box with a belly band. (Edition size determined by this campaign.)
SPECIAL REMARQUE EDITION PORTFOLIO- $250 Pledge
Limited to just 31 hand-numbered copies worldwide, this special Remarque edition of the October Epoch portfolio will include all 15 illustrations in a custom box featuring a foil-stamped logo, and a signature plate that replaces the standard art with an ORIGINAL hand-drawn colored sketch by Dan! (sketch subjects are at the artist’s discretion)
