100% of the sales amount will be donated directly to Austin Justice Coalition– a local organization focused on racial justice and police reform.
When the donation is made, Nakatomi will post screenshots of the payment here on the blog.
From Tim Doyle-
“Like many of you, we here at Nakatomi were shocked and saddened to hear the news that Chadwick Boseman passed away after a long (and apparently secret) battle with cancer. We were immediately hit up with requests for me to bring this painting back into print. And initially- I didn’t feel comfortable with it- I understood the impulse, but it felt too exploitative to profit in any way off a tragedy. But after talking to the good people at Parts and Labour here in Austin, they were donating sales of the print they had in-store to the Austin Justice Coalition. Since AJC supports causes we care deeply about, and Chadwick Boseman also supported, I feel like this would be a decent way to honor the man, and advance a shared cause. So for a limited time, I’m bringing this print back, and we will donate 100% of the sales to Austin Justice Coalition at the end of the sale period.”
Prints are available HERE in the Nakatomi store, orders will begin shipping within 7 days of the time they are placed.
Thank you all, and never forget- Black Lives Matter, we must reform policing here in America, and goddammit, you’ve got to be kind.
