lesko

It’s a good deal.  Just ask Lesko there.

It’s the end of our first year of business, and it’s time for us to clean house!

So, what do we got for you?  TUBES!

For $40 you’ll get 5 prints from Nakatomi Print labs.  Some will be 100% beautifully perfect, some will be ALMOST there, and at least ONE in each tube will be a unique one of a kind TEST SHEET.

What’s a test sheet?  Well, since you asked-

In screenprinting, one of the things we do to check the screen before we start the run proper is to print a test on a piece of scrap paper.  And, since that piece of scrap paper gets used multiple times, you get some crazy-ass images.  Imagine a piece of a Burwell on top of a Paul Pope background, with a gradation pattern test thrown in.  Take a look at a select few-

test sheet 1

test sheet 2test sheet 3

These are all truly one of a kind, and many are double sided!

There will be only 25 tubes made, and we will be randomly inserting in 5 of the AP editions of Tim Doyle’s sold out White Dragon prints that have not been released to the public.  There were only 20 AP’s ever produced!  AND- some of the prints thrown in here have NOT YET EVEN BEEN RELEASED, or stuff that’s NEVER been for sale on the site.  How’s them apples?

5 posters, one completely unique, and only $40.  Get on it right HERE.

Our last tube sale blew outta here in just a few hours, don’t be left out! If you have ordered from us before, we’ll do our best to put brand new stuff in there for you! Same if you order 2 tubes!

First, congratulations go to Nakatomi mastermind Alex Fugazi. He has successfully reproduced (with a female!) and brought into our world a brand new baby boy that will someday be mortified that his scrotum is on facebook. Congratulations, family!

Next, here’s a picture I have maybe seen before. Maybe you have, too. But if you haven’t yet, here’s proof that you can’t even trust your best friend:

Chewie… that’s not cool. Han called dibs.

So, when we were printing these, we thought- hey, a line-art version would be cool.  And so, we said, well- let’s print ‘em and save ‘em for Flatstock- the yearly poster convention held here in Austin during SXSW.  And then, the Color and Glow in the Dark edition of this thing sold out in 24 hours, and all the emails came rolling in, asking for a re-print or if we had any extras.  So we sold the Scratch and Dent ones we had laying around.  But no, you still wanted more.  MORE!

So here is the Line-art version of this print.  After this, we have NONE of these prints left laying around.

Signed and Numbered by Doyle in an edition of 40, each print has a little hand-drawn doodle of an origami unicorn head in the corner border!

Come and get ‘em HERE.

I was Googling ‘Fuck Orko’ tonight, you know…as I’m sure you all have from time to time, and found this amazing rescued video brought to us by the geniuses at EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE.

Yikes.  Thanks for the uplifting message Orko.  ‘There is nothing you can do to bring your parents back together…nothing.”

Are you telling me that Haley Mills was lying to me?  You can’t arrange a crazy-mix up to get your parents to find love again?

Go to hell Orko, go to hell. You have been ruining my life for over 20 years now, you faceless abomination.

ps- I’m totally using that balloon trick to explain death to my child.  “I stuck a pin in the goldfish and he blew up.  There’s nothing you can do about it.”

clumsy

Wow…that was quick. We sold though on the White Dragon print in just over 24 hours. Ouch. I judged demand improperly.

I twittered that I had a couple of Scratch/Dent prints laying around if anyone wanted them- 18 regular and 7 glows.

I got so many replies, that I figured the best way to go was to just throw ‘em up on the site, 1st come, 1st served.

These prints are not numbered, and some are signed. Since screen printing is a hand-done process, there’s always a few that don’t make the cut. But in reality, these are really fine, and unless you’re the guy there pulling the squeegee as you’re printing, you might not ever notice.

Normally, these things get used as test sheets, or just plain thrown out- but since there’s such demand, it seemed silly to chuck ‘em.

Since these aren’t ‘perfect’ they’re cheaper too! Get ‘em HERE.

There are 30 black and white versions I was going to save for Flatstock Austin 2010, but you’ll probably see ‘em here before that!

Thanks for all the orders, guys!
